originally posted 1/21/09: Dateline: 1200 Van Ness Avenue, where Circuit City is seen here, 30% closer to it final day. More than 30,000 people nationwide will lose their jobs before the bankrupt electronics empire closes its last sale in March. I patronized this location for many years because it was convenient to my apartment on Bush Street, the prices were good on brands I liked, and the service was better than The Good Guys. But, like most, I dropped them in the 00s for the Apple store and Best Buy.
