Driscoll House: Page [1] [2]

A realistic mural was created to represent the Yarra and Park Street environs seen from Driscoll House.

Incredibly, the Oriental shoe company sign art is still present on the southwest corner of Yarra and Park.

Margot Gaffney stole Meg Morris’ car from in front the shoe store after escaping from nearby Barnhurst in Episode 307.

Then and Now: Doreen and Barbara Fields get off work from the shoe factory located across the street from Driscoll House.

Northwest corner of Yarra and Park.

How we got there: Meg and Judy drove there in Episode 291, but we walked east bound beginning at Flinder’s Street Station to Wellington Parade. Then through the lovely Fitzroy Gardens heading northeast. Exit the garden at Albert Street and head east. Turn left on Hoddle Street then right on Yarra Street to Park. You may, from Flinders Station, take either the Epping or Hurstbridge train to Collingwood Station. Exit the station, head east on Gipps Street one block, then left on Park Street to Yarra Street.
