On the Prisoner 30th Anniversary, a moment of silence on behalf of all former castmates and crew from Prisoner who have passed on, represented by Sheila Florance and Reg Evans.
Reg Evans is Howard Simmons. Reg Evans played smaller parts in Prisoner before taking on the memorable role of the brave attorney who gives hope to Jenny Hartley – inspired by the Bette Davis character Charlotte Vale from Now, Voyager – by unravelling evil Aunt Harriet in Episode 565. Just days before the Prisoner 30th Anniversary, Reg and his partner Angela Brunton died while defending their St. Andrews farm from the bush fires that dealt Australia its greatest disaster in decades. Memorabilia auction proceeds benefitted Positive Women and Bushfire Relief.
