San Francisco in Cinema: Full House

1709 Broderick Street

Full House is the uber-corny, uber-saccharine family sitcom that ran from 1987-1995 and will live forever in reruns. Though often named as one of the Painted Ladies of Postcard Row, Mister SF can reveal that the Full House house is actually located several blocks away at 1709 Broderick Street. The series, a worldwide children's favorite, stars adults Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, and Lori Loughlin along with a bunch of kids who grew up to be addicts and anorexics. As the Tanners of Full House prove, such things are bound to happen even in those families with the most wholesome of outward appearences. Postcard Row only appears in a credit sequence when the Tanner family picnics on the hill in front of it in Alamo Square park.
