San Francisco in Cinema: Heart and Souls

Conservatory of Flowers
Robert Downey Jr. romances Elisabeth Shue at the Conservatory of Flowers in Heart and Souls. Downey plays a man attached to four spirit guides, all San Franciscans who died with unfinished business when the bus they were riding in careened over the top of the north portal of the Stockton Tunnel. (In real life, buses run through the tunnel, not on the street above.) This sentimental 1993 film also features Alfre Woodard and Charles Grodin, and was directed by Ron Underwood.
