San Francisco in Cinema: Sherlock Holmes Returns
Sherlock Holmes lived at 221b Baker Street in London during the late 19th Century, according to the stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. In 1993's Sherlock Holmes Returns, the detective as played by Anthony Higgins is transported in time and place to modern day San Francisco. Arch villain Moriarty is also along for the ride. Here he's James Moriarty Booth who lives at 1994 Baker Street. If there were such an address it would be here, the northeast corner of Baker and Clay. The TV movie was directed by Kenneth Johnson, the man responsible for the Six Million Dollar Man, Bionic Woman, and Incredible Hulk TV series.
