The October 24, 2002 Volunteer Gala for Shanti was held in the magnificent Julia Morgan Ballroom of the Merchants Exchange Building, 465 California Street. Since 1974, Shanti volunteers and staff have helped people with cancer, AIDS, and other life threatening illnesses by providing daily emotional support and practical assistance, on-site counseling, transportation to medical appointments, and other critical services. |
