Hank Donat appeared on Turner Classic Movies in October, 2005, in the cable channel's series, "Hollywood in my Hometown." Discussing Alfred Hitchcock's San Francisco-based masterpiece, Vertigo, Mister SF said, "I don't think Vertigo could have worked in any other city. San Francisco, being built on hills - defying gravity - it just lends itself to a movie like Vertigo. We're always sort of waiting on the edge of a cliff here, waiting for the next Big One."
