Farewell Favorites: J. Goldsmith
At the outset of 2003, word came from Polk and Jackson streets that J. Goldsmith Antiques would close in May after 35 years. Owner Judy Carrasco was ready to retire. The shop specialized in antique toys and vintage Christmas decorations. The beloved automatonic girl who waved hello from the store's window finally waved good-bye.
