Farewell Favorites: One-Eyed Jacks
One-Eyed Jacks is the western furniture store and estate liquidator that was popular among fans of retro- and western-chic decorating for many years at 1645 Market Street near Franklin. Until it went out of business in the summer of 2002, this was the perfect place in town to pick up anything from a wagon wheel bed made from an actual wagon wheel to a vintage typewriter or antique art, personal effects, and lots of other cool stuff. Mister SF stopped in One-Eyed Jacks during its final week and for just a couple of bucks picked up these original snapshots of the March, 1983 arrival of Queen Elizabeth II's yacht Britannia in San Francisco.
