Hopper’s Hands

originally posted 3/18/09: Dateline: Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point, where Hopper’s Hands is an enduring icon for joggers and other visitors. People touch the double hand imprint to mark their arrival at this point. Runners have to tag the hands before they’ve officially reached the mark. Hoppers Hands is named for iron worker Ken Hopper in honor of the iron workers who randomly intervene on suicide attempts.

Met Ken Hopper on the bridge (not attempting the big jump, just walking across with my family). Of all things we discussed what our state governments are doing to its unionized workers, not a good thing.
