A paroled Bea Smith comes tearing out of 28 Collins Street after having her hair done in Episode 2. Bea is about to have lunch with a former cell mate before visiting her daughter’s grave and shooting her husband.
Outlines of the Farrar House letters over Bea’s head in 1979 were still visible in 2009.
Bea was armed for battle but a smart traveller just needs a few good tips. We found a spectacular fine dining experience on Collins Street. No Mister SF, Melbourne, or Rome can dine better then patrons of Il Solito Posto, basement 113 Collins. Melbourne’s Regent Theatre is located at 191 Collins Street.
How we got there: Bea Smith took a cab for her outing of disaster but we walked. From Flinders Street Station, head north on Swanston Street, turn right on Collins to #28 between Exhibition and Spring Streets.
