The house next door is featured beginning in Episode 373, when neighbor Des Coulson angrily complains about Joan’s dog, Major, getting in his yard.
At the end of Episode 374, Carol Coulson stabs her abusive, drunken husband to death at 25 Howard Street, Box Hill in the presence of neighbor Joan Ferguson. When Carol’s daughter Jilly enters the house, the stage is set for a day-long stand-off with the distraught mom.
When Joan is late for work, Meg Morris checks up on her and alerts the police to the danger next door.
Meg saves the day.
