(Reylene Pearce, right, with Maggie Kirkpatrick.) Reylene Pearce is Phyllis Hunt. She emerges from the background to help expose Deputy Governor Fletcher’s hemophobia in Episode 49. Phyllis comes and goes from the middle of the pack for years, usually as the proverbial fly in the ointment. She ends her stay at Wentworth with permanent brain damage after being pummeled with a horse scultpure by Reb Keane in Episode 460 because Phyllis had accidentally exposed the pair’s attempt to smuggle drugs into Wentworth during the prison fete. Her boyfriend Brian Lowe holds Governor Ann Reynolds and Meg Morris in the booby trapped Brick Works in Episodes 497-500.

Hi my name is Melinda and I have been and still am a huge fan of Prisoner. My mum told me years ago that one of her bridesmaids at her wedding to my dad [Florence (Flo) Nolet and William (Bill) Jesser] was in Prisoner but the way she told me I assumed she was just one of the background actors. As Prisoner is now on TV again and I am getting to watch it frome the start, I rang my mum to ask what her bridesmaid’s name was and to my surprise Reylene Pearce was one of the front actors in the show. Interesting to me to find out. – Melinda
