High on a Hill: Duboce Park
Duboce Park is a popular dog run along Duboce Avenue between Scott and Steiner Streets along the J Line.The park is across Noe Street from Davies Medical Center and is convenient to the Castro, Lower Haight, and the Church and Market area. A new fenced-in playground is always packed with tots. Take in the scene or shoot some hoops at the park's basketball court. Duboce Avenue is named for Col. Victor D. Duboce, commander of the first California regiment in the Spanish-American War (1898-1902).
