| Old and new architecture: SF MOMA and Pacific Telegraph and Telephone Bldg. seen from Yerba Buena Gardens << Back | Yerba
Buena Gardens is the real "new Union
Square." It's beautiful, very green and inviting. With loads of people
around, there's lots of shopping, art, live performance, old
and new architecture, and the original Playland
carousel. Given the shift in the City's geographical center since the development
of SoMa, it's fitting that Yerba Buena Gardens - located between Third and
Fourth Streets and Mission and Folsom Streets - is the new center of downtown's
      mojo. Detail
