Digital Arts Center: A
23-acre office and digital production campus for Industrial Light &
Magic, THX Group, Lucas Arts Entertainment Co., Lucas Online, Lucas Learning,
and the George Lucas Educational Foundation replaces Letterman
Hospital in the Presidio. Lucas
created a massive public park in exchange for political consideration
in order to build the campus. For Mr. and Ms. San Francisco, the stunning
park is an addition that is truly worthy of the pantheon of beautiful places
in the City. Lucas inaugurated the campus by throwing a $4 million picnic
on Saturday, June 25, 2005.
