The Westin St. Francis turned 100 years old on March 21, 2004. On Friday, March 19, the hotel celebrated its staff with a bash in the hotel's famed Mural Room. Festivities included the reading of a proclamation and the introduction of veteran employees Pete Petri and George Cross. Petri worked at the St. Francis for 63 years, Cross for 52 years.
