New and Venerable Institutions: Zuni Cafe

1648 Market Street
2003 James Beard Foundation Award winner for both Best Restaurant and Best Cookbook, Zuni Cafe is a San Francisco favorite. It was first discovered by Bohemian communities before going on to become an institution among the in crowd. Just ask the regulars hanging out at the beautiful copper bar. With great Mediterranean cuisine, wood burning oven, and painted desert motif, Zuni is not a only one of the places to be seen, it also offers some of the best roast chicken, pasta, fresh oysters, and focaccia burgers in town.
