Notorious: Gas
 
In the April, 2008, when most news sources were reporting that the average price of Gas in the Bay Area was "approaching $4 per gallon," San Francisco drivers already knew the score, and which city's consumers were footing the high end.


On January 20, 2001 - the day George W. Bush was sworn in as President of the United States - the average price of gasoline in California was $1.63 per gallon.
