Necro Trespasser: The case of Mahdi Allah helped expose a gap in California statutes that allowed the necrophiliac to be charged only with trespassing even after he was found by a funeral home employee passed out on top of the corpse of an elderly woman with his pants around his ankles, according to initial police reports. Allah, a 46 year-old former parking attendant, was discovered in the compromising position at the Hogan Sullivan Bianco funeral home on April 17, 2004. Prosecutors soon discovered that no state law existed making necrophilia a crime. Allah plead no contest to a misdemeanor trespassing charge and was released on May 4.
