Bruce Bellingham
is the quintessential man about town. A writer and broadcaster, his columns
have appeared in the San
Francisco Examiner, Marin Independent Journal, Marina Times, San Francisco
Chronicle, and online at Posthoc.com. The New Jersey native's observations
have been quoted frequently over the years in other local newspaper columns,
including that of his friend, the late Herb Caen. Bellingham's radio career
includes stints with KCBS and PBS. His book, "Bellingham
by the Bay: Bits, Bites, Adventures in Radio and Real Life," is an entertaining
collection of stories such as his account of the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake
and memories from his years of training as an operatic tenor at the Music
and Arts Institute of San Francisco. Naturally, no Renaissance Man of Bellingham's
calibur would be complete without past experience as a short order cook! |
