For nearly thirty
years, Harry Denton has been the life of the party in San Francisco.
The restaurant and nightclub entrepreneur came to the City from Idaho and
was hooked on its charm in short order. Following the successful Harry's
Bar on Fillmore in the '80s, Harry opened his Harry Denton's on Steuart
Street in 1991. Mister SF was there for the opening when Nell Carter floored
the crowd with a wonderfully filthy song about keeping a tight reign on
her pocketbook. Then as now, Harry is the nucleus of good times, something
he attributes to his professionalism and appreciation for the best food
and wine, in addition to his delusions of grandeur. Harry also operates
the Starlight Rooftop at the Sir Francis Drake hotel in addition to his
newest joint, Rouge, at Polk and Broadway.
